I believe people are basically herd animals which seek security by watching what others do and following the herd behavior which is largely focused or controlled by the alpha.... the group can be controlled by imposing another alpha by various methods then the herd can be led accordingly

I think it was Tolstoy who once observed that goodness is inconsistent with the desire to acquire power, but desiring power is quite consistent with the very opposite qualities, such as pride, cunning, and cruelty. Governments are comprised of those who not only want power, but are powerful. And if everybody knew that, they, the governmental functionaries, would be hampered in their "freedom" of action. So they get together and form plans, and present those plans in a way that looks altruistic and, in a word, good. In other words they are constantly hatching conspiracies wrapped in deceptions.

I once had a history course (I went to college) concerning Britain from 1840 to 1914. The professor trotted out a host of reasons regarding the origin and purpose of WWI. In retrospect one could say all the reasons offered were true. But from my perspective now I can say it basically amounted to a cover story, since the real reasons for the war were passed over in silence.

So anybody who seeks to understand the real motivations for all this social engineering we see going on these days is necessarily going to be a conspiracy theorist, since everything being investigated or otherwise thought upon is a conspiracy.
